I’ve been trying to understand my reactions during conflicts. Whenever tension rises or someone gets upset with me, I seem to go completely silent and emotionally numb. It’s like my brain just freezes, and I can’t express what I’m thinking or feeling.
I’ve been wondering why do I shut down during arguments instead of communicating like I want to? Is it anxiety, fear of confrontation, or something deeper from past experiences? Has anyone else dealt with this?
I’d love to hear your thoughts or coping strategies to stay calm and engaged instead of withdrawing.
