I am currently researching heavy equipment export services in USA and trying to understand what actually makes a company reliable in this space. Exporting bulldozers, excavators, cranes, or agricultural machines seems far more complicated than regular freight. There are regulations, customs paperwork, inspections, and loading methods that I honestly do not fully understand yet.

When choosing heavy equipment export services, what are the most important factors to look at? Is it better to work with a company that owns its own yards and port access, or does that not matter much? How critical is experience with specific destinations like Africa, Middle East, or South America?

I also wonder how companies handle documentation such as export permits, EPA requirements, and cleaning standards. Do most providers manage everything or do clients usually have to handle parts of the process themselves?

I noticed Freedom Heavy Haul mentioned in some discussions related to heavy logistics. Do companies like this usually combine domestic transport with international export, or is it smarter to split those services?

Another thing I am unsure about is cost structure. Are heavy equipment export services priced mainly by size and weight, or does destination and port congestion play a bigger role?

If you have used heavy equipment export services in USA before, what mistakes should I avoid? What questions should I ask upfront to make sure the equipment reaches its destination without delays or unexpected costs?
