I've recently come across some cool music albums with unique packaging and wanted to ask if anyone here has collected albums with wooden covers. I stumbled upon a few indie releases that use wooden cover albums as a design element and they look stunning on display.

It got me thinking, how common are these and are they mostly custom or limited editions? If you own any, I’d love to hear which artists use them and how they hold up over time.

Are they just for aesthetics or do they offer better protection too?
