Hey everyone, I’ve been running a small online store for a couple of years now and things have started to grow faster than I expected. I sell mostly on Amazon and recently started experimenting with social commerce platforms like TikTok Shop and Instagram. The problem is, my bookkeeping has become a total mess. Between tracking ad spend, returns, and multiple sales channels, it feels impossible to keep things straight.
I came across this article about why Amazon sellers should start paying more attention to social commerce (https://www.socialcommerceaccountants.com/post/why-amazon-sellers-must-embrace-social-commerce-before-its-too-late) and it got me thinking that maybe an ecommerce accountant could really help me get organized. Has anyone here worked with one before? Did it actually make a big difference in understanding your numbers or saving on taxes?
Would love to hear what other ecommerce sellers think. Do you handle your own accounting or have you hired someone who really understands online sales and marketplace fees?
