However, some fake websites have started using “8171” in their names to mislead people. These unauthorized platforms often give incorrect PMT scores or eligibility results and may put personal information at risk. BISP has clarified that the only official methods to check eligibility are by sending an SMS to 8171 or using the verified government web portal.
